How to view facebook messages Without the Messenger Mobile App

Method 1

Using a Web Browser

   Open a web browser on your computer or mobile device. You can use any web browser such as Chrome, Safari, or Opera to view your messages.

   Navigate to https://www.facebook.com.

   • If using a mobile device, request the desktop version of the site. To do this in Chrome, tap the ⁝ at the top right corner of the browser and select Request desktop site. This reloads the page, giving you access to the version of Facebook you see when you use a computer.

   Sign in to Facebook. Type your Facebook username and password into the blanks and tap Log In.

   Tap the Messages icon. It’s at the top of the screen and looks like a message bubble with a lightning bolt inside.

   Tap a message to view its contents.

Method 2

Using Messenger.com

   Go to https://www.messenger.com in a web browser.

   Sign in to Messenger. If you’re prompted to do so, enter your Facebook account information and click Sign In.

   Click a message to view its contents. The messages appear in the left panel under the “Messenger” heading.
