Reactivating facebook after 3 years

Facebook automatically saves all data for deactivated accounts so that you can easily reactivate the account if you change your mind and want to use the social network again. Facebook doesn’t remove old account information after any set time, so you can reactivate Facebook a year after closing the account. To reactivate a Facebook account after a year, simply log in to the site with your original password and user email address.

Launch your Web browser and go to Facebook.com.

Type your user email address into the “Email” login field on the Facebook landing page. This is the email address that you used when you first set up the Facebook account.

Enter your password into the “Password” input box. Click the “Log In” button next to the login input fields. Facebook automatically reactivates your account and opens the old account on your home page. Once reactivated, you can access all content that you added to Facebook before closing the account, including your friends list, posts, activity and status updates, photos, video clips, pages and groups.

• If you can’t remember the password for your old account, reset the password by selecting the “Forgot My Password” option under the login input boxes on the Facebook landing page. Alternatively, go to Facebook.com/recover.php in your Web browser. Facebook will check your identity by asking you to answer a series of security questions. Facebook then sends an email with a new password to access and reactivate the account.
• You can't use this procedure to reactivate an account that Facebook disabled for breaching its terms and conditions.
